The Quail Island adventure

Last week on Wednesday all the seniors went to Quail Island. We waited for the bus to pick us up. When the bus came all the seniors went on the buses. It took half an hour to get to the Black Cat ferry. We all went in the Black Cat ferry. When we went we waved to the people who didn't come to Quail Island. The boat went to Quail Island, it was fun on the boat.

When we got on Quail Island we all went on the island. Mr Mckenzie said listen to the parents. Everyone did a scavenger hunt. We found birds and saw the island too. We went up the hill and we found a abandoned farm, we kept going up. We found a house and in the house we saw Maori pictures. Most peoples favourite part was playing on the beach and finding the crabs. Ben loved taking the photos. Piper's favourite part was seeing the view of the island. Finn's favourite bit was when we went up the big wave on the boat and we smashed in the water. Myah and Maddie's favourite bit was playing on the beach. Jarkwyn's favourite part was the history.

The people that helped to go to Quail Island was Cathy, Hamish, Pilar, Peter, Chontelle and Miss Falkner. Some groups went to the graveyard. The other groups went to the beach. Miss Falkner's group didn't do the long walk. We all met on the beach to have lunch. Finn found a shark tooth. We found a mushroom.

All the seniors went back to the boat. The boat ride was bumpy on the way back. The waves were big. We went up the wave and we smashed into the water. When we got to the docks we waited for the bus. When we got on the bus it took us to school.

We had so much fun at Quail Island that we wish we could go back again.
